Cultivating Connections: Empowering Communities through Engagement

At Yura Yarta, we firmly believe that building a strong connection with our community is not only vital but also transformative. As a company deeply rooted in the Indigenous community, including Yugunga-Nya, Narrunga & Ngarrindjeri heritage, we understand the significance of giving back to the communities we serve.

Our commitment to community engagement goes beyond mere gestures; it is a profound dedication to fostering inclusivity, respect, and collaboration. We believe that by actively involving ourselves with the communities, we can create a positive impact, empowering individuals, promoting cultural awareness, and forging lasting partnerships. At Yura Yarta, we embrace the belief that together, we can create a brighter, more sustainable future, where every member of the community thrives, and traditions are cherished and preserved for generations to come.

Yura Yarta’s Commitment to Nurturing Indigenous Talent

Ethan Zagar-Jones | North Adelaide Football Club

Yura Yarta is proud to support Ethan, a talented young footballer from the Barkindji mob, whose journey reflects the power of opportunity and determination. Since switching from soccer in 2021, Ethan has achieved incredible milestones, earning Most Improved Player in his debut season, kicking 47 goals in 15 games the following year, and collecting multiple awards, including Best on Ground and Emerging Talent.

Through our sponsorship, Ethan has continued to grow on and off the field. This year, his dedication earned him a place in the North Adelaide Under 18 squad, a remarkable feat as one of the team’s youngest members. Our support has opened doors, and we’re excited to continue backing him as he chases his football dreams.

At Yura Yarta, we believe in the power of sport to uplift and empower Indigenous youth. Ethan’s success is a testament to what’s possible when talent is nurtured with the right support and we’re proud to walk alongside him on his journey.

Eileen Collins-Cole | Eastern Park Football Club

Yura Yarta proudly celebrates the journey of Eileen Collins-Cole, a proud Warumungu, Luritja, and Yawuru woman living on Kaurna Country. Eileen’s commitment to advocating for Aboriginal children, young people, and families is at the heart of everything she does.

As part of the Office of the Guardian for Children and Young People, she ensures that children’s voices are not only heard but respected in decisions that shape their lives. Her work is driven by a deep belief in empowering young people to feel seen, valued, and safe.

Outside of work, Eileen finds strength through family, culture, and community. Whether reconnecting with Country or enjoying the camaraderie of football, she brings the same passion and purpose to every part of her life. Her story is a powerful example of what it means to lead with heart and make a meaningful impact both professionally and personally.
