Jordan Zagar Morrison
Electrical Apprentice
Jordan Zagar Morrison is a proud member of the Wirangu tribe from Ceduna, located on the west coast of South Australia. With strong ties to his community and a deep connection to his culture, Jordan brings a sense of pride and determination to everything he does. For just under a year, he has been a key part of the Yura Yarta/Ice Engineering team, working as an Electrical Apprentice based in Moomba, South Australia.
His journey as an apprentice is part of a 4-year program that will equip him with the knowledge and practical experience needed to excel in the electrical trade. Working on projects in the remote environment of Moomba, Jordan is honing his skills and learning the intricacies of electrical systems. His passion for the trade is evident, as he eagerly embraces each new challenge and opportunity that comes his way.
Outside of his professional life, Jordan values spending quality time with his loved ones. He often heads out into nature to camp and explore the great outdoors.
When asked about his journey, Jordan shares, “I’m excited to complete my apprenticeship and work on exciting electrical projects, all while staying close to country.”
